Albemarle First Bank (the Bank) provides commercial banking services. The Bank operates two locations in Charlottesville, Virginia, and one office in Ruckersville, Virginia, servicing individuals and small business customers located in the Charlottesville, Albemarle County, Greene County and adjacent areas. The Banks primary deposit products are checking accounts, savings accounts and certificates of deposit (CDs). Its lending products include residential mortgage, construction, installment and commercial business loans. During 2001, the Bank expanded the services it offers. It initiated Internet banking in May 2001, and established a subsidiary, AFB Insurance, Inc., in June 2001. Through AFB, it offers life, accident, health and auto insurance services.
