American National Bankshares Inc. is the holding company for American National Bank and Trust Company (the Bank), which offers all services normally offered by a full-service commercial bank, including commercial and consumer demand and time deposit accounts, commercial and consumer loans and trust services. The operations of the Bank are conducted at 14 offices located throughout its trade area, which includes the cities of Danville and Martinsville, in Pittsylvania, Henry and Halifax counties of Virginia, and the northern half of Caswell County in North Carolina. The Bank has two wholly owned subsidiaries. ANB Mortgage Corp. originates and sells secondary-market mortgage loans. ANB Services Corporation, operating as ANB Investor Services and ANB Insurance Services, offers non-deposit investment products such as mutual funds and a full-line of insurance products, through an affiliation with Bankers Insurance LLC.
