BSB Bancorp, Inc. is a financial services company, providing a variety of loan, deposit and other banking products to its business, individual or retail and municipal customers, as well as a full range of mortgage banking, trust, investment and insurance services. The Company is the bank holding company of BSB Bank & Trust Company, a state-chartered commercial bank and trust company. The Bank originates real estate mortgages, both residential and commercial, consumer loans and commercial business loans throughout its primary market area utilizing customer deposits and borrowings. The primary market area of the Bank included Broome, Chenango, Onondaga and Tioga Counties of New York State with services provided by 20 full-service branches of the Bank as of December 31, 2003. Additional banking services are provided by a network of branch-based and off-premise automatic teller machines (ATMs), as well as 12 proprietary banking service locations within a large area supermarket chain.
