Banc Corp. is financial holding offering banking and related services in 35 locations in Alabama and the Florida panhandle through The Bank, its principal subsidiary. Seven of its branches between Destin and Panama City, Florida, operated as Emerald Coast Bank, a division of The Bank. The Company had assets of approximately $1.41 billion, loans of approximately $1.14 billion, deposits of approximately $1.11 billion and stockholders equity of approximately $76.5 million as of December 31, 2002. In August 2003, the Company sold its Emerald Coast branches to Trustmark National Bank.
