The national programs division offers professional liability and related package products for professionals and special programs. The services division provides insurance-related services, including third-party administration, consulting for the workers compensation and employee benefit self-insurance markets. The brokerage division offers excess and surplus commercial insurance and reinsurance, primarily through independent agents and brokers. In July 2003, Brown & Brown acquired The Hoffman Company through a California subsidiary of the Company.
