Capital One Financial Corp. is a holding company that offers consumer financial products and services through its subsidiaries. The Companys primary business is consumer lending, with a focus on credit card lending, but including other consumer lending activities such as unsecured installment lending and automobile financing. The Company also offers credit card products through its principal subsidiary, Capital One Bank. Capital One F.S.B., a federally chartered savings bank, offers consumer lending and deposit products, and Capital One Auto Finance, Inc. offers automobile and other motor vehicle financing products. Capital One Services Inc., another subsidiary, provides various operating, administrative and other services to the Company and its subsidiaries. As of December 31, 2002, the Company had 47.4 million accounts and $59.7 billion in managed consumer loans outstanding.
