Infinity Property and Casualty Corporation is a holding company that, through subsidiaries, provides personal automobile insurance on a national level, with an emphasis on non-standard auto insurance. Approximately 80% of the Companys personal auto business is non-standard auto insurance. Non-standard auto insurance is coverage to drivers who, due to their driving record, age or vehicle type, represent higher-than-normal risks and pay higher rates for comparable coverage. Infinity also writes standard and preferred personal auto insurance, non-standard commercial auto insurance and complementary personal lines insurance products. The Company was incorporated as an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of American Financial Group, Inc. (AFG) to acquire and conduct, as a separate company, AFGs personal lines business written through independent agents. In December 2003, AFG divested the Company.
