SWS Group, Inc. is a full-service securities and banking firm that operates through three business segments: Brokerage Group, Banking Group and Asset Management Group. The Brokerage Group consists of the operations of SWS principal subsidiary, Southwest Securities, Inc. Southwest Securities activities include execution and clearing of securities transactions, individual and institutional securities brokerage, securities lending, management of and participation in underwriting of equity and fixed income securities, market making in corporate securities and research and investment advisory services. The Banking Groups activities are conducted by the Companys subsidiary, First Savings Bank, FSB (the Bank), which offers full-service, traditional and Internet banking. The Asset Management Group consists of the operations of SWS Capital Corporation, which administers the Local Government Investment Cooperative fund for cities, counties, schools and other local governments across Texas.
