Unico American Corporation is an insurance holding company that underwrites property and casualty insurance through its insurance company subsidiary; provides property, casualty, health and life insurance through its agency subsidiaries, and provides insurance premium financing, claim administration services and membership association services through its other subsidiaries. The Companys operations are categorized between its major segment, its insurance company operation, and all other revenues from insurance operations. The insurance operation is conducted via Crusader Insurance Company, Unicos property and casualty insurance subsidiary. Unicos remaining operations constitute a variety of specialty insurance services. As of December 31, 2002, Crusader was licensed as an admitted insurance carrier in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon and Washington.
