Through its United States operations (U.S. Operations), the Company is a specialty property and casualty insurer, with an operating history in the specialty insurance markets. In 2002, its non-United States operations (Non-U.S. Operations), which consists of a Barbados-based insurance company, is expected to begin offering insurance products to third parties and reinsurance to the Companys U.S. Operations in the near future. United National operates its business through three business segments: excess and surplus (E&S), specialty admitted and reinsurance.
