Standard Chartered CEO resigned

Standard Chartered CEO resigned Peter Wong, Hong Kong-based Standard Chartered PLC chief executive officer, resigned, the bank said Monday.

Wong has worked for the bank since 1997, being chief executive in Hong Kong since 2000.

Peter Sullivan, a deputy chief executive, will be the new CEO, taking over Friday, the company added.

Mr. Wong declined to comment upon his departure.
