HBOS refuses to buy Irish banks

HBOS refuses to buy Irish banks

HBOS does not want to buy two Irish banks owned by National Australia Bank.

Northern Bank and National Irish Bank are not the targets for the UK’s fourth-largest bank anymore as the banks do not seem to have found common language.

The two banks could be worth between £1.4bn and £1.2bn, analysts say.
