Wall Street rose after Fed lift its rate to 2.25%

U.S. stock markets rose, after the Fed lift its benchmark fed funds rate by a quarter percentage point to 2.25%.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 38.13 points, or 0.36%, to 10,676.45. The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index added 4.70 points, or 0.39%, to 1,203.38. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 11.34 points, or 0.53%, to  2,159.84.

American Express added 1.7%, to $55.95, JP Morgan Chase rose 1.3%, to $38.74, Intel rallied 2.7%, to $23.24.
