Barclays ATMs left thousands without cash in England
(by Olivia Cohen)

Barclays ATMs left thousands without cash in England Barclays Bank’s customers were unable to withdraw cash from the bank’s cash machines across southern England. It left thousands of customers without cash on Easter holidays.

Thousands of Barclays ATM users were unable to take money from the cash machines all over the South of England. The company said it is not sure yet about the cause, assuring its customers that the cause will definitely be revealed and ATMs will be fixed.

The change over to British Summer Time could be the cause for the glitch, the company said. "A manager put the clocks back rather than forward and that has caused enormous problems," Barclays staff member said.

The company apologized for the glitch. "It was a technical problem with the system in the south of England and we’re terribly sorry it happened," said its spokesman Alistair Smith.
