CBI: UK banks optimistic about hiring

The UK hiring is expected to boost in the next three month, a survey by the Confederation of British Industry showed. The UK banks, fund managers and securities trade firms are the most optimistic about the hike, the survey shows.

If jobs rate boosts this will be the fastest rate in 15 years, analysts say. The net balance between firms that will hire more workers and those that plan to cut jobs is the highest since 1989 and amounts to 48%, survey shows.

Sales of savings and investments products lifted the expectations for business volumes for the next quarter to 23%, according to the survey. The outlook shows the highest confidence since March 2004.

The UK labor market is gaining strength, market analysts say. The employment rate reached the record of 28.57 million in the three months through January.
