Trading firms constantly seek for ways of improving e-business efficiencies. That can lead to global B2B data synchronization to drive supply chain integration in 2004, analysts say.
U.S. business integration firm Sterling Commerce predicts its strong growth in Latin America as its sales in Brazil grew by 40% in 2003, it forecasts revenue growth go up to 25% in 2004. It is connected with the fact that about 20-30% of data in B2B invoices is erroneous due to the data disconnect between suppliers, wholesalers and retailers.
Sterling also helps Brazilian multinational companies such as oil firm Petrobras to set up global e-business systems. It is in talks now with some Latin financial entities within the question of automating internal processes.
Tradecom, an Argentine unit of regional B2B solutions firm, has the target to add the ratio of its overseas sales to 50% in 2004. It expects to get about $2 million in total regional revenues in 2004, within $400.000 from outside the region. Its Argentina’s revenue comprises professional services (50%), sale of tools (40%), and 10% within providing value-added services through relationships with partners. The company has the intention to extend its trading potential later in 2004.
