UK chip and PIN migration are expected to increase inside thefts, specialists say as fraudsters often apply for temporary bank employee jobs to infiltrate the banking system.

The fraudsters will able to infiltrate inside information only inside the banks as the UK chip and PIN cards are deployment will surely make things worse for them. They are expected to blackmail or bribe other staff into revealing confidential account numbers in order to tap funds from customers.

Cloned cards are one more option to fraud. There’s a case when a local bank employee passed on confidential data to enable fraudsters to drain over GBP 31,000 from customers’ accounts by using cloned cards, people familiar to the case said.
