The number of the U.S. prepaid wireless subscribers is growing fast and is predicted to reach 24 million by 2007.
Market players expect touch-screen kiosks to be installed at postal stores and UniversalPost Network-affiliated retailers. Along with prepaid wireless products, the kiosks will be full of gift cards, a prepaid debit card program and a prepaid card for sending flowers.
Banks add their clients by offering prepaid recharge services at their ATMs or web sites stand to maintain their brand in the mobile channel, analysts say. Prepaid system allows them get up to 20 million customers that have nothing to do with banks but use cell phones.
