EBay Inc. announced its third quarter profits being higher all estimates. The company’s executives said they fell sorry for some customers that suffered from its payment transaction service inadequate work.
EBay’s third-quarter earnings reached $182.3 million, or 27 cents per share, against last years $103 million, or 16 cents per share.
The company has earned $195 million, or 28 cents per share, excluding certain items. Sales added $805.9 million from $530.9 million last year.
EBay is going to earn a pro forma profit of $1.20 per share on sales of $3.25 billion this year.
The company’s executives said on Wednesday they would like to apologize for technical glitches. "We let our community down, and I want to apologize to our users who were affected by these issues," chief executive Meg Whitman said in a conference call with investors.
