Chip card package started by MasterCard

Chip card package started by MasterCard (by Sh. Nakata)

OneSMART Retail chip card package was opened by MasterCard as issuers and merchants are expected to promote EMV card usage at the POS.

Banks are expected to gain profits from the retail package as new products that increase retail banking income while decreasing operating expenses.

The package will be used by Reykjavik Savings Bank (SPRON) to power its multi-brand loyalty program with over 200 retail partners as the latter will offer cardholders point-of-sale incentives such as loyalty points, gifts, coupons, cashback and advanced payment features.
