UK spends more on online ads

Online ad spending rose in the UK compared with the spending on radio advertising, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) report showed.

The amount of money spent on internet ads in the UK in 2004 is 60% higher than it was spent in 2003, according to the report.

The report showed that the UK spent as much as £653.3 million ($1.23 billion) on internet ads in 2004, higher than the 2003 figure of £407.8 million.

Radio spending amounted for 3.8% of the total spent by advertisers, while online ads showed the result of 3.9% of the advertising total.
