The payment industry is in search for new trends in revenue growth as the US top-ranked banks say their revenue from the check-processing may fall by 13% to 15% this year as compared with last year’s 10% to 11%.
Accounts receivables conversion (ARC) is expected to boost revenue, analysts say, pointing at the latest outpace of check conversion by check image exchange.
Check processing, as well as float, exception items and related fees, amounts to about 40% of revenue.
About 57% of ACH originations were accounted for by the US top-tier banks.
