Japanese stocks closed higher, for the first time in three days.
The Nikkei 225 rose 67.01 points, or 0.59% to 11,387.59, the highest level since Jan. 19. The TOPIX Index rose 0.48% to 1,146.14.
Canon rallied 130 yen, 2.5% to 5,400 yen after the company released good quarterly report.
Honda Motor rocketed 110 yen, 2.1% to 5,430 yen after the company raised its full-year forecasts. Toyota rose 50 yen, or 1.26% to 4030 yen.
Advantest rose 40 yen, or 0.46% to 86660 yen.
In the currency market, the euro fell to $1.3019 from $1.3050 in New York late Friday. The dollar rose to 103.55 yen from 103.25.
