Japanese shares closed mixed on Wednesday. The Nikkei 225 fell 17.08 points, 0.15% to 11,473.35. The TOPIX rose 0.03% and closed at 1,155.80, the highest level in four weeks.
Advantest added 1.56% to 9100 yen, Canon closed unchanged at 5500 yen. NEC rose 0.97% to 625 yen.
Honda fell 0,18% to 5460, Nissan Motor added 1.07% to 1129 yen, Toyota advanced 1.47% to 4130 yen.
Yto-Yokado slid 1.23% to 4000 yen.
FOREX
In the currency market, the euro rose to $1.2793 from $1.2750 in New York late Tuesday. The dollar fell to 105.40 yen, from $105.75.
