In Germany: Bayer rallied 1.15% to 26.35. Infineon advanced 1.48% to 7.56. SAP was up 0.88% to 123.58. Allianz rose 1.78% to 95.16. Deutsch Bank added 0.61% to 67.69. BMW rose 0.09% to 33.20. DaimlerChrysler rose 0.42% to 35.84.
In France: Alcatel added 0.51% to 9.92. BNP Paribas rallied 1.91% to 56.05. Danone rocketed 2.69% to 72.45. EADS rose 1.63% to 23.70. France Telecom closed unchanged at 24.25. Societe Generale rose rallied 2.38% to 81.60. Renault rallied 2.24% to 68.50.
US STOCK MARKET
U.S. stocks ended higher on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial rose 46.40 points, or 0.43%, and closed at 10,796.01. The S&P 500 added 8.36 points, or 0.7%, to 1,197. The Nasdaq Composite rallied 23.56 points, or 1.15%, to 2,076.66.
FOREX
In the currency market, the euro fell to $1.2860 from $1.2877 in New York late Thursday. The dollar fell to 105.70 yen, from $105.81.
