MARKET SNAPSHOT: TREASURIES, EQUITIES, DOLLAR

The benchmark 10-year Treasury note rose 2/32 to 99 12/32, the yield fell to 4.08%.
 
 
EU STOCK MARKET
European shares closed lower on Monday.
 
 
In U.K.: Shell declined 0.79% and closed at 470. Barclays Bank fell 0.08% to 606. Diageo added 0.61% to 743.00. HSBC declined 0.44% to 902.50. Vodafone closed unchanged at 140.00. Unilever declined 0.54% to 510.50.
 
In Germany: Bayer rose 0.36% to 26.46. Infineon rallied 2.25% to 7.73. SAP was up 1.32% to 125.21. Allianz rose 0.36% to 95.50. Deutsch Bank declined 0.03% to 67.67. BMW fell 0.63% to 32.99. DaimlerChrysler slipped 0.70% to 35.59.
 
In France: Alcatel closed unchanged at 9.92. BNP Paribas added 0.09% to 56.10. Danone declined 0.41% to 72.15. EADS fell 0.46% to 23.59. Renault fell 0.73% to 68.00. France Telecom slid 0.08% to 24.23.
 
 
US STOCK MARKET
U.S. stocks ended mixed. The Dow Jones Industrial declined 4.88 points, or 0.05%, and closed at 10,791.13. The S&P 500 added 0.84 points, or 0.07%, to 1,206.14. The Nasdaq Composite rose 6.25 points, or 0.30%, to 2,082.91.
 
 
FOREX
In the currency market, the euro rose to $1.2960 from $1.2860 in New York late Friday. The dollar fell to 105.18 yen, from $105.70.
