Japanese shares rose on Tuesday.
The Nikkei 225 rose 14.29 points, 0.12% to 11,646.49, the highest level since July 2. The TOPIX rose 0.04% and closed at 1,168.19.
Daiwa Securities rallied 5.26% to 740 yen. Advantest fell 0.97% to 9160 yen, Canon slipped 0.54% and closed at 5550 yen. NEC rose 0.32% to 631 yen. Daiei fell 0.44% to 228 yen.
Honda added 1,46% to 5440, Nissan Motor fell 0.18% to 1130 yen, Toyota declined 0.24% to 4160 yen.
Yto-Yokado advanced 0.24% to 4140 yen.
FOREX
In the currency market, the euro rose to $1.2965 from $1.2960 in New York late Monday. The dollar fell to 105.02 yen, from $105.18.
