MARKET SNAPSHOT: TREASURIES, EQUITIES, DOLLAR

The benchmark 10-year Treasury note fell 21/32 to 97 29/32, the yield rose to 4.26%.
 
 
EU STOCK MARKET
European shares closed mixed on Friday.
 
 
In U.K.: Shell rose 0.52% to 487.50. Barclays Bank added 0.90% to 614. Diageo rallied 1.62% to 752.00. HSBC slid 0.11% to 900.00. Vodafone fell 0.35% to 140.75. Unilever advanced 0.60% to 505.75.
 
In France: Alcatel fell 0.63% to 9.51. BNP Paribas added 0.09% to 55.40. EADS rose 1.08% to 24.38. Renault rose 0.22% to 68.90. France Telecom slipped 0.76% to 23.64. Danone rocketed 2.0% to 74, after Merrill Lynch raised its rating to "buy".
 
 
US STOCK MARKET
 
U.S. stocks ended mixed on Friday.
 
The Dow Jones Industrial rose 29.78 points, or 0.28%, and closed at 10,784.04. The S&P 500 added 1.00 points, or 0.08%, to 1,201.75. The Nasdaq Composite fell 2.67 points, or 0.13%, to 2,058.67.
 
 
FOREX
In the currency market, the euro fell to $1.3070 from $1.3079 in New York late Thursday. The dollar rose to 105.64 yen, from $105.56.
