Abramovich is the richest among the Russians: Forbes

The Russians are now the second-richest people over the globe, according to the Forbes Magazine’s 2005 billionaires list. Total fortune of the Russian billionaires amounts for $90.6 billion.
Roman Abramovich is the richest man in Russia, according to the list. He is the 21st billionaire of the list with his $13.3 billion. The 2004 leader Mikhail Khodorkovsky is the biggest disappointment of the year as the fortune of imprisoned oil giant owner fell to $2.2 billion from $15.2 billion. The capitalization for his company YUKOS fell to $1.8 billion from $32 billion annually.
Bill Gates keeps the throne of the richest man of the globe for the eleventh straight year, the list shows. Warren Buffet with his $44 billion is the second on the list.
Gates’s net worth amounts for $46.5 billion, down from last year’s $46.6 billion.
Lakshmi Mittal who owns Mittal Steel Co. NV was the biggest surprise for the list as he won the third place with his $25 billion.
The richest man for Latin America Carlos Slim Helu grabbed the fourth position as his fortune is the largest for Mexico - $23.8 billion. In 2004, he was only 17th.
Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud from Saudi Arabia, Ingvar Kamprad of Sweden, Paul Allen and Lawrence Ellison from the US and Karl Albrecht of Germany are among top-ten winners.
Google’s founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page that made their career at Forbes list last year were also among the richest men over the globe. They have $7.2 billion each, the same amount with the hedge fund owner George Soros.
Martha Stewart who was released from prison last week appeared on the list as well, after being sentenced for five months for lying about a stock sale.
