Software giant Microsoft said Monday it reached an agreement with EU regulators on Media Player issue as the European union was strongly opposing Windows to have Media Player.
Windows XP Home Edition N will now be sold without the Media Player feature, as well as the XP Professional Edition.
Last year, Microsoft was fined 497 million euros ($644 million) for the violation of competitive rules. Windows with Meda Player was removed from the European market.
Microsoft was ordered by the European Union to offer a version without Media Player to allow its European rivals to expand on the market.
