Tyco International Ltd.’s former chief financial officer Mark H. Swartz will take the stand to testify in his own defense on Wednesday, according to his lawyer Charles A. Stillman.
On Tuesday, Swartz’s lawyer said Mark Swartz would testify in his own defense starting Wednesday.
Swartz, as well as Tyco’s ex-CEO L. Dennis Kozlowski, is accused of grand larceny, securities fraud and other crimes in conjunction with giant bonuses and some other compensations. Both men face up to 25 years in jail each. Both denied wrongdoing.
Last year, Mr. Swartz testified for nine days in the trial but the procedure ended with the mistrial.
Kozlowski ended his testimony on Tuesday after being on the stand for four days.
