Energy Department: crude supplies rose by 3.4 million barrels

The Energy Department said on Wednesday crude supplies rose by 3.4 million barrels to 295.6 million for the week ended Jan. 21. Distillate stocks fell 2.3 million barrels to 121.5 million barrels.

According to the American Petroleum Institute (API) inventories fell by 3.7 million barrels. Distillate stocks fell 4.2 million barrels.
