Dell higher in pre-open, upgraded at J.P. Morgan

J.P. Morgan Securities raised its rating on Dell Computer to overweight from neutral, lifting the stock 40 cents in pre-open trade to $32.40, according to London dealers. "We believe the PC recovery remains intact, and the next phase of the cycle will put Dell back in the sweet spot of the market," the broker said. "We believe that accelerating desktop and corporate demand will favor Dell, helping it once again accelerate its growth relative to the market."
