Investor optimism fell again in March, according to the UBS Index of Investor Optimism. The overall index, a joint effort of UBS and the Gallup Organization, dropped 12 points to 85 in the month from 97 in February as investors expressed concerns about unemployment and the stock market's performance. Of those surveyed, UBS found 54 percent remain optimistic about prospects for economic growth; 42 percent are optimistic about unemployment; and 58 percent are optimistic about the stock market's performance -- all down from February's levels. Forty-five percent remained optimistic about inflation -- the same as last month.
