Oil futures down nearly $2 for the week

Crude futures recovered from a two-week low to close near the session's high, but prices still lost almost $2 per barrel for the week. Traders eagerly awaited the outcome of OPEC's meeting next week, and mulled the impact of an FBI warning of a terrorist threat to U.S. refineries and weekly supply data. May crude fell to a low of $34.75 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange -- its lowest intraday level since March 12. The contract closed at $35.73 per barrel, up 22 cents for the session, but below the week-ago close of $37.62.
