Janus exec takes leave of absence in wake of fund probe

Janus (JNS) said Lars O. Soderberg, executive vice president, institutional services and a member of the mutual fund firm's management committee, has "agreed to take a leave of absence," the Denver-based company said. The company, which is taking part in an industrywide probe of improper trading in mutual funds, said it'll evaluate Soderberg's future role with the company, "in light of the ongoing investigations of the mutual fund industry and related regulatory matters," Janus said. Shares of Janus rose 10 cents to $16.48 on Friday. (CBS.MW)
