Florida finally got rid of the fourth hurricane over the season Jeanne and now starts recovering process and tries to estimate losses.
Hurricane Jeanne is blamed of 2,000 lives in the Caribbean and six lives in Florida. One man was electrocuted by a fallen power line, three people drowned in submerged vehicles and an elderly couple died when their mobile home collapsed.
Hurricane Jeanne is the fourth hurricane that hit Florida over the season. "I’ve stopped trying to assess which storm is worse than the other," said Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
Jeanne sliced across Florida on Monday with the winds of more than 185 km/h and left thousands of damaged homes and around 5 million people without electricity.
The U.S. President George W. Bush asked Congress for around $7 billion to help Florida.
Specialists estimate hurricane insured cost to be between $4 billion and $14 billion to add to the previous $17 billion from Charley, Frances and Ivan.
