Procter & Gamble said on Thursday its second-quarter earnings rose to $2.04 billion, or 74 cents a share, from $1.82 billion, or 65 cents a share, last year. Revenue rose 9% to $14.45 billion from $13.22 billion in the previous year. Analysts were expecting 72 cents a share on revenue of $14.21 billion.
The company expects its earnings to be in the range of 60 cents to 62 cents a share in the third quarter. Analysts were expecting 61 cent a share.
