MARKET SNAPSHOT: TREASURIES, EQUITIES, DOLLAR

US Treasuries
The 10-year Treasury note rose 9/32 to 95 7/32. Its yield fell to 4.6%.
 
US STOCK MARKET
The U.S. stock markets closed mixed on Wednesday.
 
Today was released inflation data. The U.S. consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.4% in February from 0.1% in January, according to the Labor Department. Economists were expecting 0.3%.

Excluding food and energy prices (core-CPI) the index rose 0.3% from 0.2% last month. Economists were expecting 0.2%.

The Dow Jones Industrial declined 14.49 points, or 0.14%, to 10,456.02. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.88 points, or 0.04%, to 1,990.22. The S&P500 added 0.82 points, or 0.07%, to 1,172.53.
 
 
FOREX
In the currency market, the euro fell to $1.2971 from $1.3120 in New York late Tuesday. The dollar rose to 106.14 yen, from $105.50 yen.
