US bonds see decline in March
(by Dr.Goldfinger)

US bonds see decline in March The US bonds saw the worst results of the whole year last month, the nation’s leading banks preliminary index results showed.

Bonds index may have fallen to about minus 0.9% in March, according to Lehman Brothers’ US Aggregate Index and the Merrill Lynch US Broad Market Index. This is the worst result since April, 2004.

Bonds fell since the beginning of March and pushed the yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note from 4.28% to 4.69% last week.

“For now, what’s next for the market depends on the data,” said John Roberts, head of Treasury trading at Barclays Capital.
