Japanese shares rose on Wednesday for the second straight session.
The Nikkei 225 rose 22.72 points, 0.21% to 11,088.58.
Advantest rose 0.13% and closed at 7810 yen, Canon added 0.72% to 5590 yen. NEC advanced 0.17% to 597 yen. Sony declined 1.01% to 3920 yen.
Daiei rocketed 1.96% to 208 yen.
Honda added 0.19% to 5220, Nissan Motor was down 0.57% to 1053 yen, Toyota advanced 0.52% to 3880 yen.
Yto-Yokado closed unchanged at 3910 yen.
FOREX
In the currency market, the euro fell to $1.3020 from $1.3045 in New York late Tuesday. The dollar fell to 107.15 yen, from $106.90 yen.
