European shares closed higher on Monday due to lowering oil prices.
The Dax Index added 39.18 points, or 0.94% to 4224.02, the FTSE 100 Index rose 11.50 points, or 0.24% to 4801.70, the CAC 40 Index climbed 27.06 points, or 0.69% to 3938.77.
In U.K.: Barclays Bank was up 0.56% to 537.00. Diageo was down 0.45 and closed at 774.00. HSBC added 0.18% to 835.50. Vodafone rose 0.55% to 136.25. Unilever climbed 0.30% to 497.00. Shell rose 0.64% and closed at 469.50.
In Germany: Bayer closed unchanged at 25.36. Infineon rocketed 2.33% to 6.58. SAP climbed 0.90% to 122.80. Allianz added 1.04% to 93.20. Deutsche Bank was up 0.36% to 63.29. BMW rose 0.86% and closed at 32.98. DaimlerChrysler advanced 0.79% to 30.59.
In France: Alcatel surged 1.46% to 8.36. BNP Paribas added 1.47% to 51.65. EADS advanced 0.96% and closed at 22.17. France Telecom rose 0.66% to 22.88. Danone was up 1.04% to 73.15. Renault added 1.24% to 65.50.
