Japanese shares closed the week sharply higher. Exporters lead the market up.
The Nikkei 225 rallied 190.06 points, or 1.73%, to 11,192.17, the highest level since April 15. The TOPIX index rose 1.68% to 1,150.76.
"The market is getting optimistic and anticipating a good post-holiday start next week," said Takashi Matsumoto from Okasan Securities.
