MARKET SNAPSHOT: COMMODITIES, U.S. EQUITIES, FOREX

COMMODITIES
June crude oil futures tumbled $1.62, or 3.1%, to $50.45 a barrel, after the Energy Department reported a 2.7 million barrel increase in U.S. crude inventories.
 
June gold futures fell $0.20 to $427.9 an ounce,
 
 
US STOCK MARKET
The U.S. stock markets closed higher on Wednesday.
 
The Dow Jones Industrial rose 19.14 points, or 0.19%, to 10,300.25. The Nasdaq Composite was up 8.78 points, or 0.45%, to 1,971.55. The S&P500 added 4.88 points, or 0.42%, to 1,171.10.
 
 
FOREX
In the currency market, the euro fell to $1.2790 from $1.2870 in New York late Tuesday. The dollar rose to 105.80 yen, from $105.60 yen.
