European shares closed higher on Wednesday on good U.S. inflation data.
The Dax Index rocketed 78.83 points, or 1.71% to 4324.60, the FTSE 100 Index was up 50.90 points, or 1.04% to 4949.40, the CAC 40 Index rallied 66.96 points, or 1.67% to 4073.15.
In U.K.: Barclays Bank rose 1.30% to 544.50. Diageo advanced 0.63% to 810.0. HSBC declined 0.35 and closed at 864.50. Vodafone added 0.36% to 139.50. Unilever dropped 1.91% to 538.50. Shell added 1.83% and closed at 472.0.
In Germany: Bayer rocketed 2.63% to 26.57. Infineon rallied 3.11% to 7.29. SAP was up 0.95% to 131.15. Allianz rallied 1.81% to 93.33. Deutsche Bank advanced 1.10% to 62.32. BMW advanced 1.18% to 34.29. DaimlerChrysler added 2.07% to 32.10.
In France: Alcatel rocketed near 5% to 9.08. BNP Paribas rallied 2.97% to 55.50. EADS was up 3.34% and closed at 22.90. France Telecom rose 1.95% to 23.47. Danone added 0.20% to 74.55. Renault advanced 2.61% to 68.70.
