The U.S. stock markets closed higher on Thursday for the second straight day.
The Dow Jones Industrial advanced 28.45 points, or 0.27%, to 10,492.90. The Nasdaq Composite rose 11.93 points, or 0.59%, to 2,042.58. The S&P500 added 5.48 points, or 0.46%, to 1,191.04.

In the currency market, the euro declined to $1.2638 from $1.2681 in New York late Wednesday. The dollar rose to 107.66 yen, from $106.84 yen.
