European shares closed higher on Friday on technology shares and due to weak euro.
The Dax Index rose 0.26 points, or 0.01% to 4360.68, the FTSE 100 Index was up 9.10 points, or 0.18% to 4971.80, the CAC 40 Index added 10.20 points, or 0.25% to 4096.68.
In U.K.: Barclays Bank declined 0.82% to 543.00. Diageo rose 0.31% to 808.00. HSBC added 0.35 and closed at 865.50. Vodafone rocketed 3.02% to 145. Unilever rallied 1.40% to 544.0. Shell added 0.11% to 473.50.
In Germany: Bayer rose 0.78% to 27.13. Infineon closed unchanged at 7.26. SAP was up 0.54% to 132.40. Allianz slipped 1.06% to 93.35. Deutsche Bank rose 0.03% to 61.50. BMW advanced 0.55% to 34.60. DaimlerChrysler added 0.40% to 32.58.
In France: Alcatel was up 0.44% to 9.17. BNP Paribas slipped 0.54% to 54.80. EADS was up 1.32% and closed at 23.0. France Telecom rose 0.76% to 23.72. Danone slipped 0.60% to 74.20. Renault advanced 0.79% to 70.05.
