Japanese shares rose on Thursday.
The Nikkei 225 rose 13.51 points, or 0.12% to 11,027.94.
Advantest surged 1.02% to 7900 yen, Canon rose 1.04% to 5840 yen. NEC was up 0.17% to 583 yen. Sony fell 0.49% to 4030 yen.
Daiei fell 1.49% to 1915 yen.
Honda slipped 1.13% to 5240, Nissan Motor declined 0.65% to 1068 yen, Toyota dropped 1.27% to 3890 yen.
Yto-Yokado declined 0.82% to 3620 yen.

In the currency market, the euro fell to $1.2550 from $1.2600 in New York late Wednesday. The dollar fell to 108.10 yen from 107.75 yen.
