U.S. consumer confidence rose to 102.2 in May

U.S. consumer confidence rose to 102.2 in May from 97.5 in April, according to the Conference Board. Economists were expecting 96. The present situation index rose to 116.7 from 113.8, the expectations index rose to 92.5 from 86.7.
