Tsunami-hit countries lack $5bn for restoration

Governments all round the world agreed to addopt a new strategy line in order to lead the tsunami-hit countries from the relief phase of the disaster to longer-term rebuilding.

The leaders of the victim countries reported about means deficiency that totals more than $5bn. This amount is planned to aim at India, Indonesia, the Maldives and Sri Lanka reconstruction.

The 26 December earthquake and shock waves buried nearly 300,000 and left homeless thousands of people.
